Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Feel free to call me Jen, or if you’re family, Jenny. I hope you have a strong cup of coffee in hand, we can drink together. If it’s after 5:00, well, forgive me, I’m gonna grab an IPA. Would you like one? Or a Diet Coke? I have tea or decaf, also.
Please make yourself at home. I aim to be as authentic as possible, delivering a blog post once a week, usually on Wednesdays or Thursdays. There may be more, there might be less.
I live in Longmont, Colorado, about 10 miles from Boulder and 30 miles north of Denver. I am married to Eric and we have three children, two boys and a girl, all in the tween and teen stages. Our home sits on an acre with goats, chickens, cats, and a dog. Some of my favorite things to do include: running, drinking coffee and beer, reading, hiking and backpacking, watching movies and Netflix, enjoying my family and friends. I started this blog in the fall of 2014 because I had a lot to say and nowhere to put it.
I have experienced frustration with the church and the lack of discussion around hurting people. I believe all are welcome and it is the Christian’s work to be the loving expression of God through Jesus Christ in the world.
I also believe that if we learn how to live loved we can live free from fear, fear of God and fear of others. I hope that wherever you are on the journey you will find this to be a place of grace and generosity. You can read more what this blog is about here.
If you want to be a part of the discussion of what love needs to look like in the world around us, I invite you to stick around and subscribe for my latest posts.
